Wanda Vista Resort Xishuangbanna was recently rated by renowned Italian design website Designboom as one of the "2015 Top 10 Vacation Hotels in the World", the only hotel in China to be rated.

Incorporated in 1999, Italy's renowned design website Designboom is the world's only and most popular digital architecture and design media, and is well known in the global design industry.

Wanda Vista Resort Xishuangbanna opened for business amid great fanfare on September 26, 2015, and is the first high-end vacation resort under the "Vista" brand. The entire resort is built to blend into the landscape of the mountain at which it is located. The resort boasts guest rooms in the form of well-spaced terrace villas, suites and detached villas, as well as functional zones comprising leisure and recreational swimming pools, an artificial lake in the spa area, a Zen Buddhist pagoda, and a hilltop viewing platform.

The architectural style of the hotel is based on traditional Dai architecture, while taking into account the original ecological elements of stone, wood, roofing tiles and other building materials, thus creating a high-end hotel cultural ambiance with unique Xishuangbanna characteristics. Guests, when entering the resort, would be able to feel strong ethnic Dai influences.

The greatest highlight of the hotel is the Buddhist pagoda, which Wanda Vista Resort has specially built for the purpose of bringing out the local ethnic characteristics and cultural atmosphere. References were made to traditional Buddhist culture in terms of the style and surface layout of the entire pagoda, which is richly imbued with ethnic characteristics and religious connotation.
