Wanda Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new plaza in Jingmen, Hubei Province on March 22.
Attending the ceremony were Jingmen Party Secretary Wan Yong, Mayor Xiao Juhua, Wanda Commercial Properties Vice President Yu Xiuyang as well as other dignitaries and local press.
The Jingmen Wanda Plaza was funded with an investment of 5 billion yuan from the Wanda Group and is located in Zhanghe New District. It will house an international shopping center, a shopping street, a SOHO apartments and luxury apartments.
Upon completion, the plaza will become a new city center which will give impetus to industrial transformation, provide a number of stable jobs and 100 million yuan in taxes every year to the city.
